Formal efforts were undertaken starting in January 2015 to develop an institutional accreditation entity located in Europe.
The institutional accreditation organisation would eventually seek recognition by the European Quality Assurance Register (EQAR) when the entity is eligible.
The need for such an organisation is based on various legal changes occurring in several European countries that required institutional accreditation for privately owned universities in order to maintain governmental licensing.
